Costume Party
A few pictures from my costume party last weekend:
My friend from A Vibrant Medley wore her Regency dress. I kind of gave up taking pictures after this point. |
I made a couple of recipes that everyone should try because they're SO delish!
Korean-Style Cocktail Meatballs (they came out pretty spicy, so if you're not into that, you might want to tone down the gochujang a bit)
Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce (We had leftovers and I've been eating it all week on apples, ice cream, or just by the spoonful!)
What did you dress up as this year? Have you made any great fall recipes?
How fun! What exactly are you dressed as, Jessamyn? A Greek or Roman woman/goddess?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to look at your recipes. They sound yummy.
You asked if we, your readers, have made any great fall recipes. Of course you know I have. ;) Just today I made a pot of Squash and Sage Soup. Butternut squash, my own fresh sage leaves, spices, stock, honey, and cream. While the soup cooked, I shelled and pan roasted some hazelnuts, then roughly chopped them while still warm. After ladeling the soup into colorful, shallow bowls I carefully dropped a handful of the crunchy, aromatic, warm nuts into the center of each. Oh my! All the flavors and textures worked together perfectly and made an autumnal soup that elicited mmmmms from those who enjoyed it. So good. I have enough leftover for another day. Now, to your recipes I go!
Yes, a Greek woman.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious! We have a bunch of butternut squash from our garden this year and we've made a few soups. The addition of hazelnuts sounds so good!
